NEW RIVER ABORTION ACCESS FUND BUILDS POWER AND PROVIDES DIRECT FINANCIAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO SOUTHWEST VIRGINIANS AND APPALACHIANS SEEKING ABORTION CARE. WE ARE DEDICATED TO ENSURING THAT ALL PEOPLE HAVE THE AUTONOMY AND RESOURCES TO MAKE DECISIONS ABOUT THEIR BODIES, SEXUAL & REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, AND THEIR LIVES, REGARDLESS OF INCOME LEVEL, RACE, GENDER, ABILITY, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, OR IMMIGRATION STATUS.

NEW RIVER ABORTION ACCESS FUND OPERATES A CONFIDENTIAL HELPLINE THAT PROVIDES DIRECT ASSISTANCE AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT (RIDES, LODGING, GAS, MEALS, CHILDCARE, ETC.) TO PEOPLE SEEKING ABORTION CARE IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA AND APPALACHIA. ANYONE CAN ALL AND LEAVE A MESSAGE TO REQUEST ASSISTANCE. VOLUNTEERS RETURN CALLS WITHIN 48 HOURS AND OFFER 100-400 GRANTS TO HELP COVER THE COST OF THE PROCEDURE. DURING FY22 WE RECEIVED 1,908 CALLS AND PLEDGED A TOTAL OF 225,604 TO 928 INDIVIDUALS.
