LOVELANDS COMMUNITY KITCHEN HAS CONTINUED TO EVOLVE OUR MEAL SERVICES TO MEET THE CHANGING NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY AND GROWING FOOD INSECURITY. IN 2021, MANY OF OUR MEALS WERE SERVED VIA CARRY-OUT FROM A DONOR-FUNDED FOOD SERVICE TRAILER THAT ALLOWED FOR A SAFER SERVING ENVIRONMENT WHILE ALSO PROVIDING A MORE DIGNIFIED EXPERIENCE FOR GUESTS. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO REOPEN OUR DINING FOR INDOOR MEAL SERVICE WHILE CONTINUING THE OUTDOOR OPTION FOR GUESTS WHO ARE UNABLE OR UNCOMFORTABLE COMING INDOORS. THE KITCHEN HAS RESUMED SERVING CONTINENTAL BREAKFASTS, HOT DINNERS, SUSTAINABLE FOOD BAGS AND ADDITIONAL PROTEIN ITEMS FOR SERVE AS MEALS WHEN PEOPLE CANT GET BACK AND FORTH TO THE KITCHEN OR ARE WORKING DURING THE DAY. IN 2021, THE KITCHEN SERVED 95,053 MEALS, AVERAGING 260 MEALS DAILY.
