THE MISSION OF THE GROWE FOUNDATION IS TO FACILITATE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING PROGRAMS THAT EDUCATE CHILDREN ABOUT HEALTHY EATING AND CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. WE PROVIDE PARTICIPANTS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS THAT LEAD TO LIVING HEALTHY AND SUBSTANTIALE LIFESTYLES.

GARDEN TO TABLE PROGRAM: THE GARDEN TO TABLE PROGRAM IS AN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING PROGRAM PROVIDED TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THE BOULDER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND NORTH DENVER SCHOOLS. THE PROGRAM ENGAGES STUDENTS,PARENTS AND TEACHERS IN GARDENING, LEARNING ABOUT NUTRITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY. PROGRAM LESSONS ARE TIED TO COLORADO STATE STANDARDS, ENABLING TEACHERS TO PRESENT LESSONS WITH HANDS ON APPLICATIONS IN ON-SITE SCHOOL GARDENS. WE CURRENTLY SERVE 21 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN COLORADO, REACHING 9,400 STUDENTS ANNUALLY.
GROWE- GARDEN TO TABLE NEEDS TO FUNDRAISE 90% OF THE PROGRAM AND GARDEN COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH OUR PROGRAMS. OUR PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS CAN ONLY AFFORD TO CONTRIBUTE APPROXIMATELY 10% OF TOTAL PROGRAM EXPENSES. GTT DOES THIS THROUGH GRANTS, SPONSORSHIPS, INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS AND FUNDRAISERS.
