Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS AS WELL AS THE S O OPEN HOUSE. WE HAD A RECORD NUMBER OF PEOPLE FOR BOTH EVENTS. THE MONEY WE RAISED ALONE FOR SHOP WITH A HERO WAS HUGE. HDSA HAS NEVER RAISED THAT MUCH MONEY FOR A SPECIFIC EVENT EVEN WHEN WE DID OUR SWAT WEEKEND SHOOTS. OUR COAT COLLECTION AND TOY DRIVE WERE BOTH BIG EVENTS DUE TO THE INCREASED NEED IN THE COMMUNITY THIS YEARS' GOLF TOURNAMENT FUND RAISER WAS THE MOST MONEY WE'VE EVER RAISED AT THAT EVENT. PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST EVENTS WAS LAW ENFORCEMENT WEEK BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN A TOUGH COUPLE OF YEARS ON LAW ENFORCEMENT. THE HUGE SHOWING OF INDIVIDUALS FOR THE EVENT AND THE SUPPORT OF ALL THOSE WHO ATTENDED FROM TELLER COUNTY MADE ALL THE DEPUTIES VERY APPRECIATIVE AS WELL AS THE MEMBERS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT WHO ATTENDED FROM THE SURROUNDING AREA. IT WAS A GREAT EVENT THIS YEAR. WE WERE ABLE TO RAISE THE MONEY TO PURCHASE THE VESTS AND HIGH IMPACT PLATES AND UPDATED RADIOS FOR ALL THE RESERVES AS WELL AS THE THERMAL IMAGING MONOCULR AND ERT MICROPHONES FOR PATROL ALONG WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CRACKED WINDSHIELD ON THE BEAR CAT. THE HDSA ALSO PURCHASES ALL THE UNIFORMS FOR NEW POSSE AND RESERVE MEMBERS WHO ASSIST IN MANY OF THE EVENTS IN TELLER COUNTY WHICH ALLOWS THE DEPUTIES AND OFFICERS OF THE TCSO TO CONCENTRATE ON LAW ENFORCEMENT DUTIES.
