THE ASPEN SKIING COMPANY ENVIRONMENT FOUNDATION IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE ENHANCEMENT AND PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY OF THE ROARING FORK VALLEY REGION.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION:TO SUPPORT GENERAL OPERATIONS OF ACES; TO FACILITATE THE USE OF LOCAL FOOD AND IDENTIFYING SUSTAINABLE MODES OF OPERATION FOR SCHOOL BASED GARDEN PROGRAMS;TO HELP MAINTAIN GARDEN MANAGEMENT SERVICES, AND ESTABLISH A COMMUNITY SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR THE STUDENTS TO COMBINE THE ARTS OF GARDENING, COOKING AND BUSINESS, AND THROUGH THE PLANNING AND CREATION OF A COMMUNITY FOREST GARDEN ON HALF OF THE FENCED GARDEN;TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF RECYCLING OPPORTUNITIES ON THE CAMPUS, REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF SINGLE USE WATER BOTTLES, AND DECREASE THE AMOUNT OF ENERGY USED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS; TO SUPPORT THE 2014 YOUTH PROGRAM, ENGAGING HUNDREDS OF YOUTH IN OUTDOOR STEWARDSHIP AND ACCOMPLISHING CRITICAL TRAIL MAINTENANCE WORK THROUGHOUT THE GREATER ROARING FORK VALLEY


LAND CONSERVATION, WILDLIFE, AND HABITAT PROTECTION:TO SUPPORT EFFORTS TO PROTECT IN-STREAM FLOWS IN THE UPPER COLORADO RIVER FROM KREMMLING TO GLENWOOD SPRINGS; TO ENGAGE,INFORM, AND MOTIVATE MEMBERS OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO PURSUE AN ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE UPDATE TO THE FEDERAL LAND USE PLAN FOR THE AREA;TO SUPPORT THE MAROON BELLS TRAIL RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT;TO SUPPORT THE ELK MOUNTAINS FOURTEENERS TRAIL MAINTENANCE AND DATA COLLECTION PROJECT;TO SUPPORT THE MAROON BELLS-SNOWMASS WILDERNESS CAMPSITE REHABILITATION PROJECT;
