THE COLORADO VOCAL ARTS ENSEMBLE (CVAE) IS A REGIONALLY ACCLAIMED CHAMBER CHOIR DEDICATED TO EXCELLENCE IN THE CHORAL ART.

COLORADO VOCAL ARTS ENSEMBLE (CVAE) 2022-2023 PROGRAM STATEMENT CVAE PRESENTED 5 SEPARATE CONCERT PROGRAMS AND 7 INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES IN OUR 2022-2023 CONCERT SEASON. THREE EVENTS WERE TICKETED. THE OTHER TWO WERE OFFERED FREE ADMISSION WITH DONATIONS ACCEPTED. 4 PROGRAMS WERE SELF-PRODUCED. ONE WAS AN OUTREACH PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL. THE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA OF THE SPRINGS HIRED CVAE AS GUESTS FOR INTERSECTIONS IN NOVEMBER. FOR THE BACH MASS IN B MINOR, CVAE HIRED THEM AS OUR GUESTS. OUR PROGRAMMING SPANNED MUSIC OF THE RENAISSANCE THROUGH THE PRESENT DAY. 34 SINGERS PARTICIPATED ACROSS THE SEASON. THE SEVEN PERFORMANCES PRESENTED SERVED 1900 AUDIENCE MEMBERS. IN ADDITION TO PRESENTING CONCERT PERFORMANCES, CVAE CONTINUED TO OFFER FINANCIAL COMPENSATION TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE ENSEMBLE. 1) GATEWAYS: OPENING DOORS TO THE CHORAL ART WITH THE LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL CHAMBER SINGERS SINGERS PARTICIPATING: 55 AUDIENCE ATTENDANCE: 250 2) INTERSECTIONS GUEST APPEARANCE WITH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA OF THE SPRINGS SINGERS PARTICIPATING: 30 AUDIENCE ATTENDANCE: 600 AT 2 PERFORMANCES 3) WINTERSONG MUSIC AND SPOKEN WORD BY CANDLELIGHT. AN ANNUAL CVAE TRADITION. SINGERS PARTICIPATING: 30 AUDIENCE ATTENDANCE: 500 AT TWO PERFORMANCES 4) J.S. BACH MASS IN B MINOR WITH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA OF THE SPRINGS SINGERS PARTICIPATING: 32 ORCHESTRAL MUSICIANS: 25 AUDIENCE ATTENDANCE: 350 5) MILESTONES: CVAE AT 30 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WITH POST-CONCERT RECEPTION SINGERS PARTICIPATING: 30 AUDIENCE ATTENDANCE: 200
