INDIVIDUAL DISASTER RELIEF GRANTS - CHRIST IN ACTION PROVIDED GRANTS TO MISSIONARIES SERVING IN MEXICO PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED FROM THE PANDEMIC.
PHILIPPINES - CHRIST IN ACTION PROVIDES GRANTS TO CHURCHES IN THE PHILIPPINES TO PROVIDE FOOD, SUPPLIES, DISASTER RELIEF ASSISTANCE AND EMOTIONAL & SPIRITUAL CARE.
FAITH BASED FIRST RESPONDERS (FBFR): IN 2007 FOLLOWING THE KATRINA DISASTER, AND AT THE REQUEST OF THE WHITE HOUSE, CIA HAS DEVELOPED A FAITH BASED FIRST RESPONDERS COALITION TO STREAMLINE A NATIONWIDE RAPID RESPONSE NETWORK IN THE EVENT OF FUTURE DISASTERS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TRAINING THROUGH THE INTERNATIONAL CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS FOUNDATION (ICISF)OFFERING THE BEGINNING COURSE ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS (AIC), AND THE ADVANCED TRAINING FOR PASTORAL CRISIS INTERVENTION (PCI). IT HAS ALSO DEVELOPED AND ADVANCED COURSE FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WISHING TO PURSUE CRISIS COUNCSELING FURTHER, THE CHAPLAIN BASIC TRAINING (CBT).
