THE MISSION OF THE CLASSIFIED SCHOOL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY REPRESENTATION AND SERVICE TO THE 3,700 CLASSIFIED (NON-TEACHING) EMPLOYEES OF JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

THE CLASSIFIED SCHOOL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION (CSEA) MAINTAINS A NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS. THE AGREEMENT IS REVIEWED ANNUALLY TO PROTECT AND ENHANCE THE RIGHTS AND BENEFITS OF THE CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, CSEA PROTECTS THE NEGOTIATED AGREEMENT AND WORKS WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO RESOLVE CONTRACTUAL DISPUTES AND ISSUES.
THE CSEA PROTECTS EMPLOYEE RIGHTS BY REPRESENTING EMPLOYEES IN DISCIPLINARY MEETINGS AND HEARINGS. IF THEY CSEA GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE DETERMINES THAT AN EMPLOYEE'S RIGHTS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED, A FORMAL GRIEVANCE IS INITIATED AND PROCESSED.
THE CSEA COMMUNICATES IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO REPRESENTED EMPLOYEES THROUGH A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER, FLYERS, LETTERS, E-MAIL MESSAGES AND WEBSITE NOTICES.
