INSTRUCTIONAL - THE COLORADO SPRINGS SCHOOL USES THE HANDS-ON EXPERIENTIAL TEACHING METHOD THAT TEACHES TO STUDENTS WEAKNESSES, STRETCHING STUDENTS WHILE BUILDING THEIR CONFIDENCE. APPROXIMATELY 300 STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED AT THE SCHOOL DURING THE YEAR.
TRANSPORTATION - OUR BUS SERVICE IS AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS WHO LIVE OUTSIDE THE 80906 ZIP CODE TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR THEM TO ATTEND THE COLORADO SPRINGS SCHOOL. APPROXIMATELY 60 STUDENTS RIDE ONE OF TWO DAILY BUS ROUTES FOR PICKUP AND DROPOFF DURING THE YEAR, AND NEARLY ALL STUDENTS RIDE A VAN OR ACTIVITY BUS TO A SEMINAR, ATHLETIC EVENT OR FIELDTRIP.
DINING HALL SERVICE IS AVAILABLE TO KINDERGARTEN THROUGH TWELFTH GRADE STUDENTS, PROVIDING A VARIETY OF FOOD CHOICES DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. THE SCHOOL SERVES APPROXIMATELY 150 HOT, DAILY LUNCHES EACH SCHOOL DAY.
ADMISSIONS, BOOSTER CLUB, AND OTHERS - OUR ADMISSIONS OFFICERS SCREEN STUDENT CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION TO THE SCHOOL. THEY DETERMINE FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS, MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR SOME STUDENTS TO ATTEND WHO MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO AFFORD TUITION. DURING THE YEAR APPROXIMATELY 145 CANDIDATES RECEIVED ASSISTANCE THROUGH FINANCIAL AID, SCHOLARSHIPS, OR REMISSION.
