MARY'S PLACE IS A REFUGEE OUTREACH CENTER IN NORTHWEST ROCHESTER, NY. OUR MISSION IS TO REACH OUT IN LOVE, HOPE, AND SERVICE TO REFUGEES OF ALL FAITHS AND NATIONALITIES, PARTICULARLY THOSE IN THE MAPLEWOOD/EDGERTON NEIGHBORHOOD.

MARY'S PLACE HAS BEEN SERVING REFUGEE FAMILIES LIVING IN THE CITY OF ROCHESTER SINCE 2009, TO ASSIST WITH ADJUSTING TO AMERICAN CULTURE, LEARNING ENGLISH, FINDING EMPLOYMENT, GAINING PERMANENT RESIDENCY, AND ULTIMATELY, CITIZENSHIP. MARY'S PLACE ASPIRES TO PROVIDE A SAFE COMMUNITY ATMOSPHERE FOR REFUGEE FAMILIES TO COME TOGETHER AND THRIVE. PROGRAM SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE ASSISTANCE WITH AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS FOR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENCY AND CITIZENSHIP, AS WELL AS CONTACT FREE DELIVERY OF ESSENTIAL HEALTH AND HYGEINE PRODUCTS ALONG WITH NONPERSHIBLES, MEAT, PRODUCE, AND DAIRY PRODUCTS TO PROMOTE HEALTHY LIVING. THE OUTREACH ALSO AIDS INDIVIDUALS WITH NAVIGATING THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES, ASSISTING WITH SCHEDULING MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, ACQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE, FINDING HOUSING, READING MAIL, MAKING PHONE CALLS, AND ANY OTHER PAPERWORK ASSISTANCE NEEDED. SERVICES ARE ALSO PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE SEARCH FOR EMPLOYMENT BY ASSISTING WITH JOB APPLICATIONS AND CREATING RESUMES. MARY'S PLACE WORKS TO EDUCATE CLIENTS ON THEIR RIGHTS, AND ADVOCATE ON THEIR BEHALF IN CIRCUMSTANCES SUCH AS LANGUAGE ACCESS BARRIERS, TENANTS RIGHTS, AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SITUATIONS.
