WEGO: NIGERIA SUPPORTS VARIOUS MINISTRIES IN AND AROUND JOS, NIGERIA. OUR PRIMARY AREAS OF CONCENTRATION ARE MINISTERING TO ORPHANS AND WIDOWS, CLEAN WATER INITIATIVES, ADDICTION RECOVER, AND EVANGELISM.

GRANTS TO WORLD IN NEED (WIN), BASED OUT OF NIGERIA, WERE FOR VARIOUS MINISTRIES, PRIMARILY IN THE FORM OF HOUSING AND PROGRAMS FOR THE FOLLOWING: OLDER ORPHANS ABOUT TO TRANSITION TO SELF-SUSTAINED LIVING, ADDICTS TRAPPED IN CHEMICAL AND ALCOHOL ABUSE, YOUNGER ORPHANS, HOMELESS BOYS UNDER THE AGE OF 10, WIDOWS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR ONLY SOURCE OF FAMILY INCOME, AND ABUSED OR REJECTED GIRLS (MOSTLY ORPHANS). IN ADDITION, THE GRANTS PROVIDED FOR FOOD, TRAINING, AND ANIMAL NEEDS FOR A FARM FOR 60 TEENAGE ORPHAN BOYS; WATER FILTERS AND WELLS FOR CLEAN WATER INITIATIVES; AND MISCELLANEOUS INITIATIVES SUCH AS SCHOLARSHIPS, ASSISTING FAMILIES IN NEED, MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, DISTRIBUTION OF BIBLE LITERATURE IN HAUSA LANGUAGE, ETC.


GRANTS TO THREADS & LIGHT, A MINISTRY BASED OUT OF NIGERIA, WERE FOR FOOD, CLOTHING, AND SHELTER FOR WIDOWS. THE WIDOWS ARE TRAINED TO SEW AND MAKE QUILTS, DRESSES, AND OTHER ITEMS. THE TRAINING ALLOWS THEM TO BECOME SELF- SUSTAINED AND TO BE ABLE TO CARE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR CHILDREN.
