COMMUNITY ADVOCATES FOR JUST AND MORAL GOVERNANCE (MOGO) PROMOTES GOOD GOVERNANCE. MOGO IS COMMITTED TO ENGAGING IN LITIGATION AND VARIOUS FORMS OF ADVOCACY THAT WILL MAKE GOVERNMENT MORE JUST AND FULLY ACCOUNTABLE TO ALL PEOPLE, PARTICULARLY THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN MARGINALIZED FROM SOCIETY.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION EMPOWERMENT - SOCIAL AND EDUCATION OUTREACH PROGRAMS THAT ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH A VARIETY OF MEDIA AS WELL AS LIVE PRESENTATIONS. TO DATE THESE OUTREACH PROGRAMS HAVE REACHED 3486 PEOPLE TO EDUCATE THEM ON THEIR SOCIAL RIGHTS. WE KNOW THAT MEASURING OUR IMPACT WILL NOT ALWAYS BE CONVENTIONAL. FOR INSTANCE, THE IMPACT OF OUR EDUCATION EQUITY INITIATIVE TEACH-INS WILL NOT ONLY BE MEASURED BY THE NUMBER OF FAMILIES WE EMPOWER BUT ALSO HOW CONFIDENT PARENTS FELT WALKING INTO IEP MEETINGS, ADVOCATING FOR THEIR CHILDREN, AND REVIEWING SCHOOL RECORDS AFTER ATTENDING A "KNOW YOUR RIGHTS" SESSION AND HAVING A ONE-ON-ONE CONSULTATION.
FREEDOM FUND THROUGH OUR FREEDOM FUND PROGRAM, WE FIGHT FOR THE PRETRIAL RELEASE OF INCARCERATED INDIVIDUALS, POST BAIL ON THEIR BEHALF, AND SUPPORT THEM WITH VARIOUS RESOURCES THAT ENABLE THEM TO THRIVE POST-RELEASE AND FIGHT THEIR CASES FROM A POSITION OF FREEDOM. MOGO HAS HELPED OVER 150 CLIENTS THROUGH OUR FREEDOM FUND AND HAS PROVIDED MORE THAN 425 REENTRY SUPPORT SERVICES, INCLUDING LYFT RIDES, PLANE TICKETS, AND "GO BAGS."
