CAPITAL AREA FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER, INC. (THE ORGANIZATION) IS A NONPROFIT CORPORATION ORGANIZED UNDER THE LAWS OF LOUISIANA ON MAY 29, 2019. THE CORPORATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF EMPOWERING VICTIMS OF FAMILY VIOLENCE WITH RESOURCES NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN SAFETY AND STABILITY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS "TO PROVIDE SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC AND DATING VIOLENCE WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE SAFER, MORE STABLE LIVES FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR CHILDREN BY PROVIDING IN-DEPTH, PROFESSIONALLY SUPPORTED, COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES." THE ORGANIZATION SERVES THE SURVIVORS AND FAMILIES OF EAST BATON ROUGE AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.
