Part 3
IN 2022, THE JOSEPHINE LILLY WOLF MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION (JLWMSF) CONTINUED ITS WORK OF PROVIDING COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO FORMER HIGH- ACHIEVING STUDENTS OF MANNING'S (HIGH) SCHOOL, LOCATED IN WESTMORELAND, JAMAICA. IN 2022 WE ADDED FOUR NEW STUDENTS (THE MOST EVER IN ONE YEAR), BRINGING OUR TOTAL NUMBER OF SUPPORTED STUDENTS TO FIFTEEN. OUR NEW STUDENTS ARE STUDYING BIOLOGY, SOCIAL WORK, ENGINEERING AND MEDICINE. LIKE ALL OUR STUDENTS, OUR CLASS OF 2022 WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ATTEND COLLEGE WITHOUT OUR SUPPORT. IN 2022 WE HELD OUR THIRD ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER. WE HAD 36 REGISTERED TEAMS (THE MOST YOU CAN HAVE FOR A SHOT-GUN TOURNAMENT) AND MANY MORE PEOPLE JOINED FOR DINNER. WE ALSO ADDED NEW GAMES AND CONTESTS FOR NON-GOLFERS. THE FUNDRAISER WAS A SUCCESS AND WE RAISED APPROXIMATELY 30,000, WHICH WAS USED TO SUPPORT OUR NEW AND EXISTING STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. 2021 MARKED A HUGE MILESTONE FOR JLWMSF AS WE GRADUATED OUR FIRST STUDENT. IN 2022 WE GRADUATED THREE MORE STUDENTS, BRINGING OUR TOTAL NUMBER OF GRADUATES TO FOUR. 2022 ALSO MARKED THE FIRST TIME IN OUR FOUNDATION HISTORY THAT WE HAD A STUDENT STUDY ABROAD. 2020 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT ALLIYAH DASILVA CONTINUED HER LAW EDUCATION AT A UNIVERSITY IN CANADA. FINALLY, THERE WERE NO CHANGES TO FOUNDATION GOVERNANCE OR OUR BOARD, HOWEVER, WE DID ADD PEOPLE TO VARIOUS COMMITTEES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. AS WE GROW, WE WILL CONTINUE TO ADD VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT THE IMPORTANT WORK WE ARE DOING.
