DEARING HOUSE HAS A CONTRACT WITH THE OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY RESPONSE IN KAY COUNTY TO CHILD MALTREATMENT AND IS FUNDED BY THE CHILD ABUSE MULTIDISCIPLINARY ACCOUNT. IT COVERS PERSONNEL, TRAINING, TRAVEL AND ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT USED FOR INVESTIGATION AND INTERVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE. PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE FORENSIC INTERVIEWING OF CHILD ABUSE VICTIMS, TRAINING OF LAW ENFORCEMENT, CHILD WELFARE PROFESSIONALS, AND MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONS TO IMPROVE CHILD MALTREATMENT AS WELL AS OPERATION OF THE CHILD FRIENDLY FACILITY USED BY THE MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM FOR INTERVIEWS AND MEDICAL EXAMS. 100+ CHILDREN RECEIVED FORENSIC INTERVIEWING AND/OR COUNSELING SERVICE
