DAY EAGLE HOPE PROJECT MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS THE COORDINATION OF FARM TO TABLE INITIATIVE. WE WERE ABLE TO PURCHASE NATIVE AMERICAN CATTLE AND PROVIDE THE FOOD BANK WITH HAMBURGER IN ADDITION TO SLAUGHTERING 7 BISION FROM OUR TRIBAL HERD IN COLLABORATION WITH PEOPLES PARTNERS FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OUT OF ASHLAND MONTANA WITH THEIR MOBILE SLAUGHTER UNIT. THIS ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS HUGE AS IT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE. WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO CANCER SURVIVORS WITH EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AS WELL AS GIFT CARDS TO HELP DEFRAY FINANCIAL COSTS. WE CONTINUE TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS AROUND FOOD SOVEREIGNTY WITH THE HARLEM PUBLIC SCHOOLS. WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE RESOURCE REFERRAL FOR AMERICAN INDIAN MALE INPATIENT DRUG AND ALCOHOL INPATIENT TREATMENT. WE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OUR AMERICAN INDIAN YOUTH WITH CULTURE, ACADEMIC AND HEALTHY LIVING LIFESTYLES.
