MISSION OF BLUE MANATEE IS A SUCCESSFUL JOURNEY TO LITERACY FOR EVERY DISADVANTAGED 4-8 YEAR OLD IN GREATER CINCINNATI. FOSTERING THE VALUE OF READING AS A FOUNDATION FOR ESTEEM BASED GROWTH FOR EACH STUDENT. PROVIDE BOOK DISTRIBUTION TO PARTNER SCHOOLS AND PROGRAMS.

WE WORK TO DEVELOP LITERACY PROGRAMMING WITH SCHOOLS AND EDUCATORS FOR ELEMENTARY AGE STUDENTS STRUGGLING TO DEVELOP STRONG READING SKILLS. THE EXPENSES INCLUDED IN THESE TYPES OF PROJECTS ARE: EMPLOYEE WAGES, PROGRAM MATERIALS, EVENT SPACE, FOOD AND BEVERAGES FOR PARTICIPATING STUDENTS, AND MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS.
BOOK DONATIONS TO NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE CINCINNATI AREA. WE DONATE BOOKS TO OTHER NON PROFITS THAT WORK WITH CHILDREN AND SCHOOLS. THIS ACCOUNTED FOR $60,215.00 IN EXPENSES.
