IN 2021, NKR PARTNERED WITH THE AZ HUMANE SOCIETY AND THE YAVAPAI HUMANE SOCIETY TO RESCUE OVER 100 SICK, INJURED AND UNDERWEIGHT KITTENS THAT WERE SLATED TO BE EUTHANIZED. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH THE SUPPORT OF VETERINARIAN WHO VOLUNTEERED HER TIME TO CONSULT ON OUR COMPLICATED MEDICAL CASES, SEVERAL VETERINARY STUDENTS FROM MIDWESTERN UNIVERSITY AND A DEDICATED TEAM OF OVER 25 FOSTER CARE GIVERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN CARING FOR HIGH NEEDS NEONATAL KITTENS. THANKS TO THIS INCREDIBLE TEAM, NEARLY 90% OF THE KITTENS WE RESCUED WERE REHABILITATED AND ADOPTED INTO LOVING HOMES.
