THE MISSION OF THE MONTANA EMPOWERMENT CENTER IS TO EMPOWER, ENCOURAGE, AND EDUCATE ALL MONTANA FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PTI - PARENT TRAINING AND INFORMATION CENTERS MUST SERVE PARENTS OF CHILDREN OF ALL AGES (BIRTH TO 26) AND ALL TYPES OF DISABILITIES. AWARDS ARE MADE ONLY TO PARENT ORGANIZATIONS AS DEFINED BY IDEA. THE TRAINING AND INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE CENTERS MUST MEET THE TRAINING AND INFORMATION NEEDS OF PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES LIVING IN AREAS SERVED BY THE CENTERS, PARTICULARLY UNDERSERVED PARENTS AND PARENTS OF CHILDREN WHO MAY BE INAPPROPRIATELY IDENTIFIED.


RSA-PTI GRANT WORK IS FOR TRANSITION SERVICES FOR SECONDARY STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES, FAMILIES AND STAKEHOLDERS.


STATE PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT GRANT (SPDG). OPI PARTNERED WITH THE PARENT TRAINING INFORMATION CENTER TO REACH FAMILIES TO REACH A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF MONTANA TIERED SYSTEMS OF SUPPORT (MTSS). MTSS IS EMPOWERING EDUCATORS THROUGH A SYSTEMATIC PROBLEM SOLVING APPROACH TO IMPLEMENT EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES.
