Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE FOUNDATION HELD IT'S FIRST FUNDRAISING EVENT; AN AUCTION IN MAY OF 2022. THIS EVENT WAS PRIMARILY ADVERTISED VIA WORD OF MOUTH AND WAS WELL ATTENDED. PEOPLE WERE VERY GENEROUS IN THEIR DONATIONS, AS THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT WAS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE PURCHASE OF A BUILDING. THIS GOAL WAS MET, AND THE HOME OF "JAE'S PLACE" WAS FOUND. THIS BUILDING WILL HOUSE THE OFFICES OF THE DIRECTOR, VOLUNTEERS, ETC. IT WILL BE A PLACE PEOPLE CAN COME TO WHEN STRUGGLING WITH SUICIDE OR MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. THERE WILL ALSO BE A SMALL WESTERN STORE, WHERE BOOTS FOR THE PROGRAM CAN BE PURCHASED.
THE FOUNDATION REACHES INDIVIDUALS AND THE PUBLIC VIA IT'S "BOOT CHECK" PROGRAM. THE FOUNDATION FOCUSES ON HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS, BUSINESS OWNERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THESE PRESENTATIONS TALK ABOUT SUICIDE AND THE AFFECTS THEREOF. AT THE END OF 2022, MORE THAN 2,000 PEOPLE HAD RECEIVED THEIR BOOTS.
SUMMER RETREATS - THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES RETREATS FOR TEENAGERS, FAMILY MEMBERS, BUSINESS LEADERSHIP (FOR EMPLOYEE OUTREACH), ETC. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 20 RETREATS HELD AT A WESTERN LODGE; INCLUDING BREAKOUT SESSIONS, HORSEBACK RIDES, MEALS AND LODGING. THERE HAS BEEN GREAT FEEDBACK ON THESE SUMMER RETREATS; HELPING TO GIVE SUPPORT AND DIRECTION ON MOVING FORWARD.
