OUR TRAVEL BALL TEAMS CONSIST OF 3/4 HIGH SCHOOL AGED TEAMS THAT COMPETE IN NATIONAL SHOWCASE EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE SOUTHEAST. THE TEAM ROSTERS ARE COMPRISED OF PLAYERS FROM FLORIDA AND ALABAMA AND HAVE ALSO INCLUDED STUDENTS FROM LATIN AMERICA. THEY TRAIN ALL SUMMER AT BASEBALL COUNTRY IN BETWEEN THEIR SHOWCASE EVENTS. THEY ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO UTILIZE OUR FACILITY AT BASEBALL COUNTRY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR TRAINING AND DISCIPLESHIP PURPOSES. IN 2021, WE HAD 70 PLAYERS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE TRAVEL TEAMS.
SOME OF OUR PRIMARY PROGRAMS AT BASEBALL COUNTRY ARE OUR YOUTH CAMPS. THESE CAMPS INCLUDE BOTH INDIVIDUAL YOUTH SOFTBALL/BASEBALL CAMPS AS WELL AS TEAM CAMPS. OUR INDIVIDUAL CAMPS ARE IN THE SUMMER FOR AGES 6- 12, WHERE WE PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION,ALONG WITH VARIOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS FISHING, ARCHERY, DODGEBALL, AND VOLLEYBALL. OUR TEAM CAMPS RUN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE TEAMS. WE FOCUS ON GROWING THE CULTURE OF THE TEAMS BY PUTTING THEM THROUGH EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING AND PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE, TEAM-BUILDING EXERCISES, AND PEER/SELF ASSESSMENT. IN 2021, WE OFFERED 6 YOUTH SUMMER CAMPS AND HAD 12 TEAM CAMPS FROM SCHOOLS AROUND THE COUNTRY.
OUR WEST ALABAMA OUTREACH IS GEARED TOWARDS MEETING PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS IN COMMUNITIES ACROSS WEST ALABAMA. THROUGH THE USE OF SPORTS CAMPS, SERVICE PROJECTS, AND MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO IMPACT THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THESE IMPOVERISHED COMMUNITIES. AS PART OF WEST ALABAMA OUTREACH, THE CREATOR'S OUTPOST PROVIDES HUNTING AND FISHING OPPORTUNITIES TO THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO MAY NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THESE. IN 2021, WE OFFERED 10 MENTORED HUNTS AND SERVICE PROJECTS IN THE AREA.
