FAMILY FIRST IN EDUCATION, INC. IS A MULTI-YEAR PROGRAM AIMED TO IMPROVE EDUCATION AND FAMILY OUTCOMES FOR PARTICIPATING ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON STRUCTURED AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING AND PARENT ENGAGMENT. THIS INITIATIVE AIMS TO CAUSE MEASURABLE REDUCTION OF DISPARITIES IN PUBLIC SCHOOL SUCCESS, THEREBY IMPACTING KEY CAUSES OF THE ACHIEVEMENT GAP. AS PARTICIPANTS IN THE FAMILY FIRST PROGRAM, EACH FAMILY WILL RECEIVE DIRECT WRAP-AROUND SERVICES AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT OVER THE COURSE OF A FULL ACADEMIC YEAR FOR A PERIOD OF NOT LESS THAN THREE YEARS. DURING THEIR TIME IN THE PROGRAM, STUDENTS WILL BEGIN THEIR AFTERNOON WITH A HEALTHY SNACK BEFORE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS AND THEIR SKILLED AIDS PROVIDE AN EVIDENCE-BASED CURRICULUM DESIGNED TO IMPACT COGNITIVE, SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT.
