IN 2019, PIVOT FOR HUMANITY USED ITS FUNDS TO SPREAD THE IDEA OF PROFESSIONALIZATION AND DEVELOP OUR PRESIDENT AS A PUBLIC SPOKESPERSON AND DRIVER OF ONE OF THE ONLY COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTIONS OUT THERE FOR REFORMING BIG TECH. WE SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED A SOCIAL MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN TO ENSURE OUR MESSAGE AND CAMPAIGNS ARE NOTICED BY INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS WITH THE LEVERAGE TO HELP US PROMOTE CHANGE. WE HAVE PUBLISHED IN NUMEROUS OUTLETS INCLUDING FAST COMPANY, HAVE APPEARED AND PRESENTED AT DOZENS OF FORUMS AND CONFERENCES, AND HAVE DRAWN THE ATTENTION OF NOTEWORTHY INDIVIDUALS IN THE TECH AND SOCIAL AWARENESS SPACES TO TO SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS. WITHOUT FOCUSING OUR EFFORTS ON BUILDING A GROUNDSWELL FOLLOWING, WE HAVE ACCUMULATED A FEW THOUSAND FOLLOWERS. WE ARE CURRENTLY EMBARKING INTO A PHASE OF BOARD BUILDING AND SPECIFIC TECH INDUSTRY WORKSHOPS WITH THE HELP OF GROUPS LIKE CIVIC HALL, BETAWORKS, INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMMERS AND UNIVERSITIES LIKE NYU, MIT AND HARVARD. CONSIDERING OUR SHOESTRING BUDGET COMPARED TO MOST ORGANIZATIONS LIKE US, WE ARE HAPPY TO SAY WE HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED AS AN ORGANIZATION THAT IS PUNCHING WELL ABOVE ITS WEIGHT.
