THE PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO SUPPORT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND ITS MISSION BY RAISING FUNDS AND OTHER RESOURCES (BOTH REAL AND PERSONAL) TO SUPPORT THE CHURCH FROM LIKE-MINDED INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES AND THEREAFTER DEPLOYING SUCH RESOURCES TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO VARIOUS PARISHES, DIOCESES, AND OTHER CATHOLIC ORGANIZATIONS.

DOLAN FAMILY CHARITIES WORKS WITH ORGANIZATIONS IN INDIA. THESE FOREIGN ORGANIZATIONS SUBMIT A REQUEST TO DOLAN FAMILY CHARITIES INDICATING THE FUNDS NEEDED FOR VARIOUS CHARITABLE YOUTHPROGRAMS (EDUCATION, FOOD ASSISTANCE, AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND CAMPS, ETC). DOLAN FAMILY CHARITIES THEN PROVIDES THE FUNDS TO THE FOREIGN ORGANIZATION. THE FOREIGN ORGANIZATION ALSO SUBMITS A MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMENT/RECONCILIATION OF HOW THESE FUNDS WERE USED. A REPRESENTATIVE FROM DOLAN FAMILY CHARITIES MAKES SITE VISTS AT LEAST ANNUALLY. THERE ARE ALSO REGULAR PHONE AND INTERNET COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN UPI AND THE FOREIGN ORGANIZATIONS. BASED ON THESE PROCEDURES, DOLAN FAMILY CHARITIES ARE ABLE TO ENSURE THAT THE FUNDS PROVIDED TO THE FOREIGN ORGANIZATION ARE BEING USED FOR THEIR INTENDED CHARITABLE PURPOSES.
