Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
TO CREATE DISCUSSIONS AND COORDIATION BETWEEN FAITH COMMUNITIES. WE FACILITATE ACTION THROUGH THREE AVENUES: BY LAUNCHING MULTI-FAITH INITIATIVES AND LETTERS, MEETING REGULARLY WITH NGOS AND GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES, AND THROUGH SPECIFIC ISSUE-FOCUSED WORKING GROUPS.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE IRF SUMMIT 2021 BROUGHT TOGETHER A BROAD COALITION OF MORE THAN 1,000 PARTICIPANTS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE THAT PASSIONATELY SUPPORTS RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AROUND THE WORLD FOR A THREE-DAY-IN-PERSON EVENT IN WASHINGTON D.C. THIS SUMMIT RAISED THE PROFILE OF INTERNATIONAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM ON A WIDE VARIETY OF ISSUES USING AN ARRAY OF MECHANISMS BEST SUITED FOR EACH CIRCUMSTANCE. THE SUMMIT CONNECTED RESOURCES AND ADVOCATES INTERESTED IN RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND HIGHLIGHTED THE PERSONAL TESTIMONIES OF SURVIVORS OF RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION AND RESTRICTIONS ON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. WE BROUGHT ATTENTION TO THE PLIGHT OF RELIGIOUS ADHERENTS WHO ARE PERSECUTED, INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY, WITH THE OUTCOME TO GROW THE GRASSROOTS AND GLOBAL MOVEMENT FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM.
THE LAUNCHING OF NEW IRF ROUNDTABLES GLOBALLY, PROVIDES A SAFESPACE WHERE NGOS, INDIVIDUALS, AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS FROM ALL FAITHS AND NONE WORK TOGETHER FOR FREEDOM OF RELIGION OR BELIEF IN THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES AND/OR REGIONS. WE LAUNCH MULTI-FAITH INITIATIVES, ADVOCACY PROJECTS, AND HAVE WORKING GROUPS THAT ANY PARTICIPANT CAN BE INVOLVED WITH. THE NETWORK WORK OF ROUNDTABLES HAVE GROWN TO 26 REPRESENTING EVERY REGION OF THE WORLD.
TO BUILD A STRONG GLOBAL STRUCTURE TO ADDRESS RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION, OPPRESSION AND RESTRICTIONS, THE IRF SECRETARIAT HAS ACTIVELY BEEN ENGAGED IN BUILDING A GLOBAL LEADERSHIP TEAM OF THOUGHT LEADERS WHO WILL AIDE THIS ORGANIZATION IN ESTABLISHING REGIONAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM SECRETARIATS STRATEGICALLY AROUND THE GLOBE. CURRENTLY 4 LEADERS HAVE JOINED AND WILL CONTINUE TO ACTIVELY RECRUIT INTO THE COMING YEAR.
