Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3

ASSISTING AND SUPPORTING STUDENTS TO ACHIEVE A HIGHER EDUCATION AND REALIZE THEIR POTENTIAL IN LIFE. THE YEAR 2021 WAS A GREAT YEAR FOR US. WE HAD A 100% GRADUATION RATE. ONE STUDENT ENROLLED IN A MEDICAL ASSISTING PROGRAM, ONE IN A STATE COLLEGE AND ONE WENT DIRECTLY INTO THE WORK FORCE. STUDENTS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS ARE MAKING STRIDES AS WELL. TWO STUDENTS ARE CURRENTLY ATTENDING UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA AND ARE SCHEDULED TO GRADUATE NEXT YEAR. ANOTHER STUDENT JUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE INTERVIEW PROCESS WITH FWC AND IS AWAITING A JOB OFFER. WE HAD TWO NEW ENROLLMENTS TO OUR PROGRAM, BRINGING US TO A TOTAL OF 13 STUDENTS FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR. WE RECEIVED A $10,000 DONATION TO HELP EXPAND OUR PROGRAM. WHILE WE WERE UNABLE TO ACQUIRE A NEW BUILDING IN 2021, IT REMAINS OUR GOAL FOR 2022. OUR EQUINE PROGRAM REALLY TOOK OFF, WITH 20% OF OUR STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN IT. WE NAMED IT MERCY REINS. THE PROGRAM ALLOWS STUDENTS TO GET ONE ON ONE EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES. THEY ARE LEARNING BOTH RIDING SKILLS AS WELL AS UP KEEP AND CARE. WE PARTNERED WITH GREY DAWN STABLES, WHERE THE CHILDREN TAKE LESSONS ONCE A WEEK. AS AN ADDED COMPONENT, THE STUDENTS ARE LEARNING ABOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP, BY MAKING AND SELLING ITEMS TO HELP COVER THE COST OF THE RIDING LESSONS. OUR HOPE IS TO PURCHASE A SCHOOL HORSE, THAT WILL ALLOW FOR MORE TIME ON AND WITH HORSES. OUR YEARBOOK EDITOR HAS NOW TAKEN ON THE ROLE OF EDITOR AND JOURNALIST FOR OUR NEWSLETTER. IT WILL BE A QUARTERLY LETTER THAT HIGHLIGHTS STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND ANY PROGRAM RELATED NEWS. WE TRY TO OFFER AS MANY DIVERSE OPPORTUNITIES AS WE CAN TO EXPOSE THE CHILDREN TO MULTIPLE CAREERS. OUR GOAL IS TO HELP THEM MAKE THE MOST INFORMED DECISIONS ABOUT THEIR FUTURE AS WE CAN.
