ACFB SUPPORT ORGANIZATION, INC., IS OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF, TO PERFORM THE FUNCTIONS OF, OR TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES AND/OR ACTIVITIES OF ATLANTA COMMUNITY FOOD BANK, INC., A GEORGIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
ACFB SUPPORT ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS THE ATLANTA COMMUNITY FOOD BANK ("ACFB") WITH THE ACQUISTION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HEADQUARTERS AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER IN ATLANTA, GA ("PROJECT"), BY OBTAINING LOANS FROM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ENTITY LENDERS AS PART OF A TRANSACTION INVOLVING NEW MARKETS TAX CREDITS. THE PROCEEDS OF THE LOANS WILL BE USED BY ACFB SUPPORT ORGANIZATION TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT, WHICH WILL THEN BE LEASED BACK TO ACFB FOR USE IN PROVIDING PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO FIGHT HUNGER IN THE COMMUNITY.
