OPEN DOORS MISSION IS TO MAKE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN NON-PROFITS THAT SERVE THOSE EXITING HOMELESSNESS AND PROPERTY OWNERS SEEKING RESIDENTS TO ENSURE THAT HOMES WILL ALWAYS BE AVIALABLE FOR THOSE IN NEED.

PROPERTY NAVIGATIONOPEN DOORS IS CONSTANTLY SEEKING FUNDING FOR OUR PROPERTY NAVIGATION SERVICES. THIS PROGRAM IS VITAL AS THE FRONT-LINE PROGRAM THAT RECRUITS PROPERTIES AND MANAGEMENT COMPANIES FOR THE OPEN DOORS PORTFOLIO. THE CURRENT ENVIRONMENT OF THE ATLANTA'S MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING IS VERY LOW VACANCY RATES WITH HIGH OWNERSHIP TURNOVER. IN THIS CHALLENGING MARKET, OPEN DOORS HAS CONTINUED TO GROW AND EXPAND DUE TO OUR PROPERTY NAVIGATION EFFORTS. IN 2021, OUR NAVIGATION TEAM WORKED WITH 135 PARTICIPATING PROPERTY OWNERS, MANAGEMENT COMPANIES LISTING 422 MULTIFAMILY COMMUNITIES AS WELL AS OUR 114 NONPROFIT COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS. DESPITE THE CHALLENGES OF THE MARKET, OPEN DOORS SECURED RENTAL HOMES FOR 1,212 PEOPLE IN THE ATLANTA REGION.
TECHNOLOGYOPEN DOORS CONTINUES TO SHOWCASE A LARGE PORTFOLIO OF AVAILABLE AND AFFORDABLE RENTAL UNITS THROUGH GROUNDBREAKING WEB AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS. WITH OUR TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, OUR PARTNERS REPORT FINDING AVAILABLE UNITS AND OBTAINING APPROVALS IN UNDER FOUR WEEKS ON AVERAGE. OPEN DOORS IS ACTIVELY BUILDING AN ONLINE COMMUNICATION PORTAL CALLED "OPEN DOORS COMMUNTIY," WHICH WILL BE LAUNCHED IN 2022. THIS SYSTEM WILL ALLOW STAKEHOLDERS TO COMMUNICATE ABOUT UNIT ACQUISITION IN REAL-TIME AND VIEW THEIR SPECIFIC PROGRAM METRICS THOURUGBH VISUAL DASHBOARDS AND REPORTS.
COVID-19 RESPONSEIN THE EARLY DAYS OF COVID-19 OPEN DOORS ACTED QUICKLY TO CREATE RENTBRIDGE, THE OPEN DOORS PROGRAM TO PROVIDE RENTAL ASSISTANCE FOR THOSE FEELING THE IMMEDIATE EFFECTS OF THE COVID-19 ECONOMY. THIS GAP FUNDING ALLOWED FOR OPEN DOORS TO SUPPORT OUR PLACEMENTS, NON-PROFIT PARTNERS, AND PROPERTIES DURING THIS HISTORIC TIME. SINCE THE ADOPTION OF MULTIPLE CARES ACTS AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF GOVERNMENT FUNDING TO HELP ALLEVIATE THE BURDEN OF UNEMPLOYMENT OPEN DOORS HAS NOW SHIFTED OUR ATTENTIONBACK TO PROVIDING HOUSING FOR THOSE WHO ARE MOST VULNERABLE DURING THE PANDEMIC. FROM NOVEMBER 2020 THROUGH JUNE 2021 OPEN DOORS LOCATED PARTNERED WITH SEVERAL ATLANTA-BASED NONPROFITS TO SECURE 631 UNITS FOR 661 PEOPLE WHO NEEDED HOUSING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
