THE MISSION OF THE CAROLINA MEADOWS FOUNDATION IS TO SOLICIT AND RECEIVE GIFTS, GRANTS, BEQUESTS, AND CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE SUPPORT OF CAROLINA MEADOWS, INC. IN ORDER TO ENHANCE OR EXTEND ITS MISSION, PROGRAMS, SERVICES, AND FACILITIES. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED A GRANT TO THE SOUTHERN ORAL HISTORY PROGRAM (SOHP) AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL IN NORTH CAROLINA FOR $18,000. THE GRANT SUPPORTED THE RESIDENT INITIATED ORAL HISTORY PORTION OF "PANDEMIC AT THE MEADOWS ORAL HISTORY PROJECT". THIS WAS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN CAROLINA MEADOWS, INC. AND THE SOHP.
