TO LESSEN THE BURDENS OF GOVERNMENT THROUGH CLOSE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH ONE OR MORE SCHOOL DISTRICTS, PROVIDING SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE STATE EDUCATIONAL MISSION/OBJECTIVES, MAKING PARENTS FULL PARTNERS IN THE EDUCATION OF THEIR CHILDREN, ENCOURAGING CHILDREN TO MEET THIER FULL EDUCATIONAL POTENTIAL, REDUCING DROP-OUT RATES, PROVIDING A WELL-BALANCE AND APPROPRIATE CURRICULUM THAT PREPARES STUDENTS TO SUCCEED IN EMPLOYMENT AND HIGHER EDUCATION, AND PREPARING STUDENTS TO BE THOUGHTFUL, ACTIVE CITIZENS. THIS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY FOCUSING ON EDUCATION AND SERVICES FOR PARENTS AND THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN, WICH AN AWARENESS OF THE SPECIAL CHALLENGES FACED BY FIRST-GENERATION IMMIGRANTS AND THOSE LIVING IN POVERTY.

PROVISION OF FUNDS, INCLUDING DIRECT PAYMENTS TO VENDORS, TO SUPPORT THE SALARIES, BENEFITS AND TRAINING OF ADDITIONAL STAFF NEEDED TO ASSIST IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS FOR CHILDREN IN AN UNDERPERFORMING SCHOOL AS WELL AS OTHER PROGRAM ACTIVITIES FOR THE PARENTS AND CHILDREN IN THE SCHOOL.
