WE INVEST IN A VARIETY OF EXPERIMENTS WITH THE AIM OF MOVING THE FIELD FORWARD AND SOLVING FUNDAMENTAL CHALLENGES TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE SPECIES ON EARTH.IN A MOMENT OF NEED, WE ARE EXTENDING THE POWER OF AI TRANSLATION PAST HUMAN LANGUAGE. THE EARTH SPECIES PROJECT SPENT 2021 FURTHERING OUR GOAL OF (I) DECODING ANIMAL COMMUNICATIONS AND LANGUAGE, (II) PRESERVING BEHAVIORAL BIODIVERSITY AND (III) FUELING FURTHER RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES. THE EARTH SPECIES PROJECT HAS DEVELOPED AND STAFFED THREE CORNERSTONE RESEARCH PROGRAMS: SELF-SUPERVISED ETHOGRAM DISCOVERY, OPEN SOURCE BIOACOUSTICS AND KINEMATIC BENCHMARKS, AND ENERATIVE VOCALIZATIONS FOR PLAYBACK EXPERIMENTS.
