Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
THE DOUBTING THOMAS RESEARCH FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO INVESTIGATING THE HISTORICITY OF BIBLICAL ACCOUNTS AND THEIR POSSIBLE RECONCILIATIONS WITH MODERN UNDERSTANDINGS OF SCIENCE, ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORY. WE ARE ALSO A HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO HELPING PROTECT AND RESCUE PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS, JEWS, AND OTHER PEOPLE GROUPS TARGETED BY RADICAL EXTREMISTS. WE PRESENT EVIDENCE FOR THE PURPOSES OF EDUCATION AND TO HELP PEOPLE GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION FOR THE BIBLE AS A TEXT CONVEYING AUTHENTIC HISTORY. DTRF CURRENTLY SPECIALIZES IN DOCUMENTING THEORIES ABOUT MOSES, THE EXODUS ROUTE AND POSSIBLE LOCATIONS OF MOUNT SINAI. ADDITIONALLY, WE ARE ENGAGED IN AND WILL CONTINUE TO ENGAGE IN PROJECTS RELATED TO OTHER ERAS OF BIBLICAL HISTORY. IN TERMS OF OUR HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS, DTRF ENGAGES IN RESCUE/AID PROJECTS, HELPING THOSE WHO ARE BEING HUNTED BY TERRORIST AND OTHER EXTREMEST GROUPS, WITH CURRENT OPERATIONS IN AFGHANISTAN.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
DOUBTING THOMAS RESEARCH FOUNDATION SEEKS TO ADDRESS THE GROWING FALSEHOODS PROMOTED IN SECULAR ACADEMIA REGARDING THE BIBLE'S HISTORICAL ACCURACY. MANY IN THE SECULAR WORLD DISMISS THE BIBLICAL TEXT AS A SOURCE OF TRUE HISTORY, HOWEVER, SUBSTANTIAL SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE DOES, IN FACT, EXIST CONFIRMING THE VERACITY OF THE TEXT. OUR TEAM OF DEDICATED RESEARCHERS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PROFESSIONAL ACADEMICS, STRIVE TO PRESENT EVIDENCE FROM THE REALMS OF HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY, AND OTHER RELEVANT FIELDS AFFIRMING THE BIBLE'S HISTORICAL STATEMENTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION.
ONE OF OUR PRIMARY AREAS OF RESEARCH IS THE ROUTE OF THE EXODUS AND THE TRUE LOCATION OF MOUNT SINAI, WHERE MOSES RECEIVED THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. OUR RESEARCH HAS LED US TO BELIEVE THAT MOUNT SINAI IS A MOUNTAIN IN NORTHWEST SAUDI ARABIA CALLED JABAL AL-MAQLA (IN ARABIC). WE ALSO BELIEVE A NUMBER OF OTHER EXODUS CAMPSITES CAN BE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NORTHWEST PROVINCE. IN 2019 THE SAUDI ARABIAN GOVERNMENT OPENED THE KINGDOM TO TOURISM AND, DUE TO OUR WORK IN THE AREA, ALLOWED US TO BEGIN LEADING TOURS TO THE SITES WE BELIEVED TO BE CONNECTED TO MOSES AND THE EXODUS. THESE TOURS ARE KNOWN BY THE SAUDI ARABIAN GOVERNMENT TO BE CHRISTIAN BASED.THESE TOURS ARE AN EXTENSION OF OUR EFFORTS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT ARCHAEOLOGICAL/HISTORICAL EVIDENCE AND LOCATIONS CONFIRMING BIBLICAL PEOPLE AND EVENTS.
DTRF NOW ENGAGES IN RESCUE/AID PROJECTS, HELPING THOSE WHO ARE BEING HUNTED BY TERRORIST AND OTHER EXTREMIST GROUPS - ESPEICALLY AIDING PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS, JEWS, AND OTHERS TARGETED BY RADICAL IDEALOGIES. WE CURRENTLY HAVE ONGOING EFFORTS IN AFGHANISTAN. WITH THE HELP OF OUR PARTNERS, WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO EVACUATE 52 CHRISTIANS FROM AFGHANISTAN TO ABU DHABI AND HAVE A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THE COUNTRY IN OUR CARE. SPECIFICALLY, WE HAVE 229 AT-RISK AFGHANS IN 34 SAFE HOUSES BEING PROVIDED FOR AND HUNDREDS TO THOUSANDS MORE OUTSIDE OF SAFE HOUSES WE ARE ASSISTING AND/OR HOPING TO ASSIST. WITH OUR PARTNERS, WE PROVIDE SECURE HOUSING (SAFE HOUSES), FOOD, MEDICAL TREATMENT, AND OTHER FORMS OF SUPPORT TO THOSE IN NEED. ALL OF THIS HAS THE END GOAL OF EVACUATION TO A COUNTRY OF REFUGE AND THEN NEW CITIZENSHIP FOR THE REFUGEES.
