FAR STAR ACTION FUND (THE FUND) WILL TARGET EDUCATION OUTREACH AND ADVOCACY EFFORTS TO PROMOTE SOCIAL WELFARE BY DEVELOPING AND ADVOCATING FOR LEGISLATION, REGULATIONS AND GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE THE ENVIRONMENT, PROTECT NATURAL RESOURCES, STIMULATE THE ECONOMY, IMPROVE EDUCATION AND PRESERVE DEMOCRACY. THE FUND'S EFFORTS WILL GENERALLY FOCUS ON ISSUE ADVOCACY AND VOTER ENGAGEMENT. THE FUND WILL DEVELOP TOOLS TO HELP FILMMAKERS AND ACTIVIST GROUPS USE FILM TO INFORM THE PUBLIC AND INFLUENCE POLICY WITH RESPECT TO A VARIETY OF CIVIC ISSUES, SUCH AS ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION, IMPROVEMENT OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM, AND WAYS TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY. THE FUND WILL TARGET CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF ACTION GUIDES, WEB TOOLS, AND MEDIA TEMPLATES AND WILL ENGAGE IN RELATED TRAINING EFFORTS. THE FUND ANTICIPATES PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPECIFIC FILM PROJECTS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS ENGAGING IN VOTER REGISTRATION AND EDUCATION EFFORTS. A MINORITY OF THE FUND'S RESOURCES WILL BE USED TO INFLUENCE THE ELECTION, NOMINATION, OR APPOINTMENT OF SPECIFIC CANDIDATES TO FURTHER THE FUND'S ADVOCACY EFFORTS.
