THE NON-PROFIT CONVENED OUR INAUGURAL TROPICAL AGTECH CONFERENCE AT UH HILO IN JUNE 2022. WE BROUGHT TOGETHER THOUGHT LEADER SPEAKERS FROM JAPAN, THE NETHERLANDS, CALIFORNIA, WASHINGTON DC, AND NEW ZEALAND WHO PRESENTED A STATE OF THE ART REVIEW OF AGTECH. WE EMPHASIZED TECHNOLOGIES RELEVANT TO SMALL HOLDER FARMING WHICH IS MOST RELEVANT TO HAWAII. THE CONFERENCE ATTRACTED 200 IN-PERSON REGISTRANTS PLUS 50 ON-LINE REGISTRANTS. THIS ACTIVITY DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO OUR STRATEGIC GOAL OF BUILDING THE HAWAII ISLAND ENTREPRENEUR ECOSYSTEM.
