NORTHBOUND & CO.IS A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT AMONG LIKE-MINDED INDIVIDUALS INTENT ON REBUILDING, RECONNECTING AND REHABILITATING MARGINALIZED PEOPLE IN OUR SOCIETY. WE DO THIS BY DELIVERING A UNIQUE SET OF SOLUTIONS, METHODS, AND OLD-FASHIONED VALUES TO RECOVERING ADDICTS AND OTHERS. WE PROVIDE A VAST OFFERING OF PEER-BASED PROGRAMS, SERVICES, AND RESOURCES IN A SAFE, THERAPEUTIC ENVIRONMENT DESIGNED TO RESTORE AND REINTEGRATE THOSE WE SERVE BACK INTO SOCIETY. THE PROGRAM CONSISTS OF A VARIETY OF AVENUES OF SUPPORT SERVICES, SOBER ACTIVITIES AND LEARNING PROJECTS, AND COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL/OUTREACH SERIES. THE PROGRAMS ARE DELIVERED WITHOUT CHARGE TO THE END CONSUMER.

NORTHBOUND WAS FORMED IN 2017 AS A PENNSYLVANIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION. IT IS AN APPROVED 501C3 ORGANIZATION. AT NORTHBOUND & CO, WE ARE COMMITTED TO AIDING, ASSISTING, SUPPORTING, AND FACILITATING THE TRAINING, REHABILITATION, EDUCATION, AND MUTUAL IMPROVEMENT OF MARGINALIZED MEMBERS OF SOCIETY. THIS INCLUDES VETERANS, THE HOMELESS, PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM ADDICTION, AND VICTIMS OF ABUSE AND TRAUMA. ESTIMATES SHOW THAT 10% OF ADULTS IN THE US WILL HAVE SUBSTANCE ABUSE DISORDER AT SOME TIME IN THEIR LIVES. IN MONROE COUNTY, MORE THAN 13,000 ADULTS WILL STRUGGLE WITH ADDICTION, WHILE MANY MORE HAVE A FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER, OR NEIGHBOR WITH A SUBSTANCE USE PROBLEM. FURTHER, 75% OF INDIVIDUALS IN DRUG TREATMENT CENTERS REPORT A PERSONAL HISTORY OF TRAUMA AND ABUSE. IN 2021 WE WERE BLESSED WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO OFFER PEER-BASED TRAUMA SUPPORT PROGRAMMING TO VETERANS AND CIVILIANS IN NORTHAMPTON COUNTY. WE WERE SUPPORTED BY THE COUNTY DIVISIONS OF MENTAL HEALTH AND DRUG AND ALCOHOL TO DELIVER THESE VITAL PROGRAMS. FOLLOWING ON THE HEELS OF OUR NORTHAMPTON COUNTY PROGRAM, IN EARLY 2022 WE WERE BLESSED WITH TWO GRANTS WHICH ALLOWED US TO PURCHASE, IN FULL, OUR FIRST COMMUNITY RECOVERY CENTER IN MONROE COUNTY AND TO BEGIN PROGRAMMING THERE. WE HAVE RECEIVED TREMENDOUS SUPPORT FROM THE AGENCIES, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND PEOPLE OF MONROE COUNTY SINCE OUR GRAND OPENING IN JUNE OF 2022. WE OPENED OUR DOORS FOR OUR PROGRAMMING IN MID-JULY. IN JULY 2022 WE HAD 23 VISITORS AT OUR CENTER. IN AUGUST WE HAD OVER 300 AND WE HAVE MAINTAINED SIMILAR VISITOR LEVELS THROUGH-OUT 2022. WE OFFERED RECOVERY YOGA, ART EXPRESSION, TRAUMA SUPPORT, COMMUNITY ADDICTION/MENTAL HEALTH EDUCATION FORUMS AND VETERAN SUPPORT SERVICES ON A REGULAR BASIS. WE ALSO BEGAN PLANNING FOR AN EXPANSION OF OUR SERVICES INTO RE-ENTRY PROGRAMMING, TRAUMA PROGRAMMING, DRUG/ALCOHOL AWARENESS PROGRAMMING, SOBER ACTIVITY PROGRAMMING AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMMING.
