COLORADO AEROLAB'S MISSION IS TO REACH THE CHILD WHO HUNGERS FOR PURPOSE THROUGH INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, COLLABORATING WITH FAMILIES AND SCHOOLS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES WE SERVE.

THE ORGANIZATION OPERATED 21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS IN THE RURAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS OF NORTHWESTERN AND SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO. THE CENTERS PROVIDED ACADEMIC AND ENRICHMENT SERVICES TO STUDENTS DURING NON-SCHOOL HOURS. EMPHASIS WAS GIVEN TO LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES INVOLVING PROJECTS IN DESIGN THINKING, PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING, AND TEAM BUILDING. FOR THE 2021-22 YEAR, 250 STUDENTS INITIALLY ENROLLED; APPROXIMATELY 51 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN 30 OR MORE PROGRAM DAYS.
THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO DEVELOP NEW EDUCATIONAL MODELS THAT UTILIZE A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH, INCORPORATING SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING,AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TO PRODUCE POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE LIVES OF STUDENTS, FAMILIES, AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES.
