2019 ACTIVITIES INCLUDED:CONTINUED APPRENTICESHIP COHORT: ADVANCED MANUFACTURING CURRICULUM RECONCILIATION FOR MULTIPLE CAREER PATHS LEADING TO STATE CERTIFIED CREDENTIAL. CUYAHOGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND LORAIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE COLLABORATION, CLASSES STARTED IN THE FALL IN MEDINA COUNTY. COMPLETED APPRENTICESHIP DOCUMENTS: CURRICULUM, AGREEMENT, CONTRACT, PLAN DESIGN, CLASSES AS FULL PROGRAM OR INDIVIDUALLY, COMPETITIVE CREDIT HOUR PRICING HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED.THE ORGANIZATION HAD NO ACTIVITY IN 2021. IT IS EXPECTED THAT ACTIVITIES WILL RESUME IN 2022.
IN 2019 THE PARTNERSHIP FOCUSED ON INCREASING MEMBERSHIP. IT HIRED A CONSULTANT TO REVIEW POTENTIAL LEADS AND STRATEGIES TO ENGAGE WITH LOCAL MANUFACTURERS. IT ALSO REVIEWED MARKETING MATERIALS AND SALES CALL STRATEGIES, AND BEGAN OUTREACH TO TARGET COMPANIES. IT ALSO DEVELOPED MARKETING MATERIALS AND UPDATED PREVIOUS MATERIALS.THE ORGANIZATION HAD NO ACTIVITY IN 2021. IT IS EXPECTED THAT ACTIVITIES WILL RESUME IN 2022.
DURING 2019 THE PARTNERSHIP HOSTED MANUFACTURING AWARENESS WEEK-THE FIRST OF ITS KIND IN MEDINA COUNTY. MCMP HELD A WEEKLONG CAMP FROM JUNE 24TH TO JUNE 28TH FEATURING TOURS, INTERACTIVE CHALLENGES, AND WORKSHOPS AIMING TO SHOW STUDENTS THE VARIOUS CAREER PATHS IN MANUFACTURING. STUDENTS AGED 15-18 BEGAN THEIR DAY AT MCCC AND TRAVELED TO HOST MANUFACTURING FACILITIES FOR A SERIES OF HANDS-ON, VISUAL, AND INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS. THE STUDENTS LEARNED ABOUT THE VARIETY OF MANUFACTURING CAREER PATHS, AND THE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS. JUNE 30, 2019 WAS MANUFACTURING AWARENESS WEEK FAMILY CELEBRATION. PARTICIPANTS BROUGHT THEIR FAMILY TO MEDINA SQUARE FOR A CELEBRATION OF THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENT AND TO INTERACT WITH MCMP ABOUT MANUFACTURING OPPORTUNITIES, TRAINING PLANS, AND CAREER PATHS. WE WERE JOINED BY REPRESENTATIVES FROM EACH OF THE HOST FACILITIES, LEADERS FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGES, AND THE FAMILIES OF THE PROUD GRADUATES OF THE MANUFACTURING AWARENESS WEEK PROGRAM.THE ORGANIZATION HAD NO ACTIVITY IN 2021. IT IS EXPECTED THAT ACTIVITIES WILL RESUME IN 2022.
