Part 3
IN LATE 2020, FAUNA IN FOCUS CAMBODIA, OUR SISTER PILOT PROGRAM, SHUT DOWN AS A RESULT OF COVID PANDEMIC FUNDING ISSUES. WORK IN THE UNITED STATES CONTINUED TO BE CARRIED OUT ON A VOLUNTEER BASIS TO IMPROVE OUR WEBSITE, FUNDRAISING AND DIGITAL LEARNING PLATFORMS. THIS INCLUDED THE COMPLETION OF A 2020 GRANT FROM THE US STATE DEPARTMENT TO DEVELOP A SET OF WILDLIFE AND CONSERVATION LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND SKILLS VIDEOS. THESE WERE COMPLETED BY THE END OF 2020, WITH VARIOUS EFFORTS TO DISTRIBUTE THEM TO PARTNERS IN CONSERVATION OCCURRING THROUGH 2021. ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER COLLABORATIONS OCCURRED BETWEEN FAUNA IN FOCUS AND OTHER CONSERVATION ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT 2021, INCLUDING COLLABORATION S WITH STONYBROOK UNIVERSITY AND DUKE UNIVERSITY IN SUPPORT OF THEIR CONSERVATION PROGRAMS IN MADAGASCAR, AS WELL AS A SHORT COLLABORATION WITH WATER SCIENCE POLICY TO DEVELOP AN INTERACTIVE ONLINE MAP OF THE MEKONG ECOSYSTEMS, MADE AVAILABLE FOR FREE ONLINE. A A RESULT OF LACK OF FUNDING, MOST OF OUR MAJOR PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED PENDING NEW FUNDRAISING EFFORT AND POSSIBLE FUTURE GROWTH OF THE NGO.
