ENRICH CHICAGO ("ORGANIZATION") IS A CHICAGO-AREA NONPROFIT COMPRISED OF PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATIONS ("ENRICHERS") THAT ARE COMMITTED TO ANTI-RACIST ORGANIZING WITHIN THE ARTS. AS A GROUP, THE ORGANIZATION DIGS DEEPER WITHIN ITS MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATIONS, AND THE GREATER COMMUNITY TO UNCOVER THE SYSTEMIC RACISM THAT HOBBLES THE FIELD OF PUBLIC CULTURE IN AMERICA. THROUGH BI-MONTHLY PARTNER MEETINGS, AFFINITY SPACE GATHERING, PROVIDING UNDOING RACISM WORKSHOPS FOR COMMUNITY LEADERS, AND OTHER PROGRAMMING, THE ORGANIZATION GOES BEYOND TYPICAL DIVERSITY AND CULTURAL SENSITIVITY MODELS TO TRULY ADDRESS THE NEED FOR EQUITY WITHIN THE ARTS. ENRICH CHICAGO SPONSORS QUARTERLY ANTI-RACISM WORKSHOPS WITH LEADING NATIONAL TRAINING ORGANIZATIONS FOR ARTS LEADERS THROUGHOUT CHICAGO. THESE INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS PROVIDE PARTICIPANTS WITH A FRAMEWORK FOR UNDERSTANDING SYSTEMIC RACISM AND IT'S HISTORIC AND CONTEMPORARY MANIFESTATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES AND WITHIN THE ARTS SECTOR IN PARTICULAR. IN ADDITION TO THESE SESSIONS, ENRICH CHICAGO OFFERS COMMUNITY SPACES FOR CONTINUED LEARNING AND ANTI-RACISM ORGANIZING.
