SUCCESSFULLY ADVOCATED FOR THE INCLUSION OF FUNDING TO SUPPORT A SCHOOL AND STREET SAFETY PROGRAM CALLED SMART ROUTES TO SCHOOL IN THE GOVERNMENT BUDGETS FOR DISTRICT 89 AND PROVISO TOWNSHIP.
LAUNCHED A SOLIDARITY ECONOMY COALITION IN MAYWOOD IN MARCH OF 2022 THAT IS GATHERING A GROUP OF LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES, WORKER-OWNED COOPERATIVES, CHURCHES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO ADVANCE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR MAYWOOD RESIDENTS.
