THIS PAST YEAR WE PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING CLASSES, ACTIVITIES, AND EXHIBITS: STEM ACTIVITIES WERE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, BOTH DURING THE SUMMER AND THE SCHOOL YEAR. ACTIVITIES INCLUDED SPECIAL ART PROJECTS, A UNIT ON WEATHER, CLASSES THAT INTRODUCED CHILDREN TO VARIOUS PARTS OF THE WORLD, AND TECHNOLOGY DAYS AT THE VILLAGE WHICH ALLOWED CHILDREN TO INTERACT WITH OUR SMART BOARD. WE HAVE PROVIDED STORY TIMES WHICH INTRODUCED CHILDREN TO LITERATURE WITH A HANDS-ON ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH THE STORY. SESSIONS OF MUSIC AND MOVEMENT WERE OFFERED ALLOWING CHILDREN TO EXPLORE THE ART OF MUSIC AND PARTICIPATE BY USING INSTRUMENTS AND MOVEMENT. OUR NORMAL EXHIBITS INCLUDE A SECOND LEVEL PLAY AREA WITH A SLIDE FOR ACTIVE PLAY, A GROCERY STORE, READING AREA, DOCTORS OFFICE, FOAM PIT, RESTAURANT, BUILDING AREA, ART AREA INCLUDING A PLEXIGLASS DIVIDER FOR PAINTING, A SOFT PLAY AREA FOR YOUNG CHILDREN, A WIND TUNNEL, LIGHT TABLE, AND OTHER EXHIBITS TO KEEP CHILDREN ENGAGED.
