THE FIRST EVENT WAS A HALF-DAY VIRTUAL PROGRAM HELD ON MARCH 6, 2021. IT WAS ENTITLED COLLABORATIVE PROJECT DELIVERY RELOADED, MEETING FUTURE REQUIREMENTS OF THE BUILDING INDUSTRY. THE PROGRAM FOCUSED ON THE KEY ROLE CONTEMPORARY HIGH-PERFORMANCE FAADE SYSTEMS PLAY IN ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE BUILDING PERFORMANCE. THE TOPICS OF ENERGY GOALS FOR EMBODIED AND OPERATIONAL CARBON PERFORMANCE, THE DESIRE FOR INNOVATIVE DESIGNS AND MATERIALS, AS WELL AS CHALLENGES IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN WERE DISCUSSED. 131 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE PROGRAM..THE SECOND EVENT WAS A HALF-DAY VIRTUAL PROGRAM HELD ON MAY 6, 2021. IT WAS ENTITLED SIMULATION VS REALITY: ENERGY MODELING, BEST PRACTICES. THIS PROGRAM ADDRESSED THE GAP BETWEEN SIMULATED AND ACTUAL ENERGY PERFORMANCE. THE STATUS OF INDUSTRY MODELING WAS ADDRESSED, AS WELL THE ENERGY CODES IN PLACE IN SEATTLE, VANCOUVER, TORONTO, AND NEW YORK CITY. 190 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE EVENT..THE THIRD EVENT WAS A DAY VIRTUAL PROGRAM HELD ON DECEMBER 2, 2021, THAT FEATURED THE PROJECT PRESENTATIONS FROM THE VITRUVIAN HONORS & AWARDS PROGRAM. THE DESIGN COMPETITION RAN FROM JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER. A JURY OF EXPERTS SELECTED THE FINALISTS IN EACH OF SEVEN CATEGORIES. THESE FINALISTS WERE HIGHLIGHTED IN THIS VIRTUAL PROGRAM. 61 PEOPLE ATTENDED THIS EVENT. A VITRUVIAN HONORS & AWARDS BOOK WAS PUBLISHED THAT CONTAINED COMMENTARY AND DRAWINGS FROM EACH OF THE FINALISTS..THE SKINS NEWSLETTER WAS PUBLISHED AND DISTRIBUTED ELECTRONICALLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND COVERED A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS, INCLUDING EMBODIED CARBON, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT, SIMULATION AND MODELING, AND BUILDING BUILDINGS, COMMUNITY, AND WELL-BEING.
