FARM&CITY IS AN INDEPENDENT 501C3 THINK & DO TANK DEDICATED TO HIGH QUALITY URBAN & RURAL HUMAN HABITAT IN TEXAS IN PERPETUITY. WE IMPROVE PUBLIC POLICIES TO IMPROVE MILLIONS OF TEXANS LIVES IN WAYS THAT PRESERVE AND ENHANCE TEXAS LAND, CLIMATE, AND CULTURE.

FARM&CITY WORKS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF TRANSPORTATION, URBAN PLANNING, SUSTAINABILITY, AND EQUITY TO IMPROVE TEXAS PUBLIC POLICY AT THE CITY, COUNTY, METROPOLITAN, AND STATE LEVELS. IN 2022, WE HELPED THE TEXAS TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO RENEW THE INCREASED $350 MILLION IN DEDICATED SAFETY FUNDING, ENSURED THAT KEY BEST PRACTICES WERE PART OF THE 2022 - 2027 TEXAS STRATEGIC HIGHWAY SAFETY PLAN, AND HOSTED OUR FIRST STATEWIDE TEXAS VISION ZERO SUMMIT. OUR MANY YEARS OF WORK ON THE GROWING WEIRDER PROJECT RESULTED IN THE AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING IMPROVED VERTICAL MIXED USE ZONING, GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE AND WATERSHED, RESIDENTIAL IN COMMERCIAL, AND AN IMPROVED COMPATIBILITY ORDINANCE. EL PASO CITY, COUNTY, AND MPO ADOPTED VISION ZERO GOALS TO END TRAFFIC DEATHS, CONTINUING THE GROWING ALIGNMENT OF TEXAS GOVERNMENTS ON SAFETY.
