DURING 2022, RISE PAID TUITION (AND UNIFORMS WHEN APPLICABLE) TO ENABLE FIVE CHILDREN TO ATTEND HIGH SCHOOL, AND FOUR TO ATTEND UNIVERSITY (MEXICAN GOVERNMENT PROVIDES EDUCATION THROUGH 8 TH GRADE ONLY)AND PAID TO SUPPLY THE CHILDREN AT CASA VIDA NUEVA PARA NIOS (THE HOME) WITH COMMERCIAL GRADE, BROADBAND INTERNET NECESSARY FOR IN-HOME LEARNING/SCHOOLING. RISE HELD A COLLECTION DRIVE AT VALLEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH RAISING $2,940 WHICH WAS USED TO PURCHASE CHRISTMAS PRESENTS FOR THE CHILDREN AT THE HOME. RISE WAS GIVEN THE CANDID GOLD TRANSPARENCY AWARD FOR 2022 AND RECOGNIZED BY NETWORK FOR GOOD. IN MAY, RISE TOOK 20 PEOPLE TO THE HOME, AND 24 PEOPLE IN DECEMBER TO SHARE CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHILDREN. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD GAVE PRESENTATIONS TO (I) VALLE VERDE ROTARY CLUB, (II) THE SEWING BEE OF DESERT HILLS LUTHERAN CHURCH, (III) THE DESERT HILLS FOUNDATION (DHLC), AND (IV) THE MISSION COMMITTEE OF VALLEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. FURTHER ACTIVITIES WERE AFFECTED BY COVID.
