Part 3
THE GARDEN KINGDOM MASTERY ACADEMY OPENED ITS DOORS IN THE FALL OF 2017 AND HAS SERVED 76 STUDENTS SINCE ITS INCEPTION. THE ORGANIZATION EMBRACES THE MASTERY CONCEPT AND INDIVIDUALIZES EDUCATION FOR EACH STUDENT. WHILE GRADE LEVELING IS USED TO HELP GUIDE MASTERY OF CURRICULA AND GROUP PLACEMENTS, STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO MOVE THROUGH THE MASTERY OF CONCEPTS AT THEIR OWN PACE AND ARE NOT BOUND BY GRADE LEVELS. INSTEAD, STUDENTS PROGRESS THROUGH CURRICULUM BY MASTERING CONCEPTS AT A HIGH STANDARD OF 90 TO 100% BEFORE CONTINUING WITH THE NEXT STEP IN THEIR CURRICULA. BOTH INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP INSTRUCTION IS PROVIDED TO STUDENTS ALONG THE WAY. THE HIGH STANDARD OF ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATES STUDENTS AND PROVIDES A SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT WHEN MASTERY IS REACHED. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING 8/31/2023, THE ORGANIZATION SERVED 6 STUDENTS.
