SEEDS OF CARING IS ORGANIZED TO ENGAGE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES IN SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY. SEEDS OF CARING OFFERS CHILD-CENTERED VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES TO EMPOWER CHILDREN TO CREATE A KINDER COMMUNITY WITH THEIR HEARTS, HANDS AND MINDS.

IN 2022, SEEDS OF CARING EMPOWERED 26,638 COLUMBUS-AREA CHILD PARTICIPANTS THROUGH MEANINGFUL SERVICE, SOCIAL ACTION, AND COMMUNITY BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES. THESE KIDS CAME TOGETHER WITH THEIR FAMILIES TO DEVELOP KEY SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SKILLS AND MEET THE NEEDS OF 64 NON-PROFIT PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS, PROVIDING 47,742 HOURS OF SERVICE TO THE COLUMBUS COMMUNITY. THIS INCLUDED KIDS AND FAMILIES MAKING 9,557 SACK LUNCHES FOR THE HUNGRY, COLLECTING AND DISTRIBUTING 8,349 BOOKS TO SUPPORT LITERACY EFFORTS, BRIGHTENING DAYS FOR 1,000+ LOCAL SENIORS, ASSEMBLING 1,442 COMPASSION KITS TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY, AND MUCH MORE. IN TOTAL, KIDS AND FAMILIES PROVIDED 106,481 IN MATERIAL DONATIONS TO NON-PROFIT PARTNERS.
