1.ENGINEERING IN THE CLASSROOM. STEAM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART, MATH) PROGRAMS ARE BEING ADOPTED BY SCHOOLS AROUND THE COUNTRY, ALTHOUGH FUNDING IS STILL AN ISSUE FOR MANY SCHOOLS. 3D PRINTING IS A PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT TOOL FOR INNOVATIVE EDUCATION, BECAUSE IT CAN SPAN MANY DIFFERENT STEAM DISCIPLINES AND IT GIVES STUDENTS EXPERIENCE IN DESIGN, PROBLEM SOLVING, PROJECT BASED LEARNING, AND COLLABORATION. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS MADE SOME EFFORTS TO GET 3D PRINTING INTO SCHOOLS, BUT EVEN SCHOOLS THAT HAVE PURCHASED 3D PRINTERS ARE HAVING DIFFICULTIES INCORPORATING THEM INTO THEIR CLASSROOMS. THERE IS A SHARP LEARNING CURVE FOR USING THESE PRINTERS, AND TEACHERS DO NOT KNOW HOW TO USE 3D DESIGN SOFTWARE OR INCORPORATE 3D PRINTING INTO THEIR CURRICULUM. THIS PROGRAM WOULD DO THE FOLLOWING: ALLOW SCHOOLS TO UTILIZE 3D PRINTING EQUIPMENT OWNED AND MAINTAINED BY THE FOUNDATION, ALONG WITH MATERIALS FOR THE PRINTERS. CONSULT WITH STEAM TEACHERS REGARDING HOW TO INCORPORATE 3
