IN 2017 OPERATION BUILD UP SURPRISED 39 STRUGGLING VETERANS WITH VEHICLES AND 2 STRUGGLING VETERANS WITH HOME FURNISHINGS. WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER FORCE COMPRISED OF VETERANS AND CIVILIANS. WE TAKE IN DONATED VEHICLES, FIX THEM SO THEY ARE READY TO BE INSPECTED AND SURPRISE VETERANS WITH THEM WHEN THEY LEAST EXPECT IT. THIS YEAR WE SURPRISED VETERANS FROM ALL CONFLICTS RANGING FROM OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM ALL THE WAY UP TO A KOREAN WAR VETERAN WITH 3 PURPLE HEARTS IN NEED. AT THIS CURRENT MOMENT OUT OF OUR 25 PLUS VOLUNTEERS NOT ONE OF US HAVE ANY MECHANIC SKILL SETS AT ALL. WE SPEND OUR DAYS AND NIGHTS ON YOU TUBE FIGURING OUT HOW TO FIX THEM. OUR MISSION IS NOT ONLY A SUCCESS WITH THE VETERANS RECEIVING BUT HAS BEEN A GREAT SUCCESS FOR THE VETERANS WORKING IN THE SHOP, WE HAVE FOUND THAT BEING PRODUCTIVE, WORKING AS A TEAM ON ANOTHER VETERAN IN NEEDS BEHALF DOES JUST AS MUCH TO HEAL THE VETERANS PUTTING IN THE WORK AS THE RECIPIENTS. OUR ORGANIZATION WAS JUST FILMED IN A DOCUMENTARY WITH MIKE ROWE VIA HIS NEW SHOW TITLED "RETURNING THE FAVOR"
