THE MISSION OF FAITH FOOD PANTRY OF NEWTOWN,INC IS TO HELP ANY NEWTOWN/SANDY HOOK RESIDENT WHO NEEDS FOOD ASSISTANCE AND TO DO SO WITHOUT QUESTION OR JUDGEMENT. FAITH DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE BY AGE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS BEFIEF OR GENDER.FAITH WAS FOUNDED JUNE 21,1983 AND WAS LOCATED IN THE BASEMENT OF ST JOHN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN SANDY HOOK, CT AS AN OUTREACH PROGRAM OF THE CHURCH. IN SEPTEMBER 2016 THE EPISCOPAL DIOCESE CLOSED THE CHURCH, FORCING FAITH TO FIND A NEW FACILITY WHICH THEY SUCCESSFULLY DID. SHORTLY THEREAFTER FAITH MADE APPLICATION AND WAS GRANTED 501(C)(3)STATUS.

FAITH DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE BY AGE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS BELIEF OR GENDER.DURING THE YEAR 2021FAITH HELPED FEED 1,195 FAMILIES (3,374 CLIENTS)BY PROVIDING OVER 70,854 MEALS.DURING THE YEAR 2018 FAITH COMPLETED THE CONSTRUCTION OF ITS BUILDING AND NOW HAS ITS OWN PERMANENT HOME WHERE THE NEEDY COME FOR FOOD.
