THE MISSION OF SANDY HOOK PROMISE FOUNDATION (FOUNDATION) IS TO EDUCATE AND EMPOWER YOUTH AND ADULTS TO PREVENT VIOLENCE IN SCHOOLS, HOMES, AND COMMUNITIES. THROUGH OUR EVIDENCE INFORMED "KNOW THE SIGNS" PROGRAMS, WE TEACH YOUTH AND ADULTS TO RECOGNIZE, INTERVENE, AND GET HELP FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO MAY BE AT RISK OF HURTING THEMSELVES OR OTHERS. ALL FOUNDATION PROGRAM OFFERINGS ARE AVAILABLE TO SCHOOLS AND YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS AT NO COST.

THE NEWTOWN FOREST ASSOCIATION IS THE OLDEST PRIVATE LAND TRUST ORGANIZATION IN CONNECTICUT. IT HAS BEEN DEDICATED FOR OVER NINETY YEARS TO SECURING FOR THE RESIDENTS OF NEWTOWN AND THEIR POSTERITY THE BENEFITS DERIVED FROM OPEN SPACE LANDS. LANDS WHICH INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, FOREST AND AGRICULTURAL LAND, WILDLIFE AND NATURE PRESERVES AND WATERSHEDS.

MISSION:

NEWTOWN VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICES TO THE TOWN OF NEWTOWN, CT.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that use a bulk of their resources to provide charitable services or run charitable programs of their own. They make few, if any, grants to outside organizations and, like private independent foundations, they generally do not raise funds from the public.

WITH A SHARED MISSION TO EDUCATE AND EMPOWER YOUTH AND ADULTS TO PREVENT VIOLENCE IN THEIR SCHOOLS, HOMES, AND COMMUNITIES, AS THE 501(C)(4) ARM OF SANDY HOOK PROMISE, ACTION FUND WORKS AT THE STATE AND FEDERAL LEVEL TO PASS NONPARTISAN LEGISLATION THROUGH INCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIPS, DIVERSE GRASSROOTS EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION.

The goal of this organization is to maintain cemeteries, or provide burial or funeral services for charitable purposes.

PRESERVATION OF A HISTORIC BUILDING. THE BUILDING IS AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR MEETINGS, WEDDINGS AND FUNERALS

TO AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS WHO ARE RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN OF NEWTOWN, CONNECTICUT AT THE TIME OF HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION WITH CONTINUING AID THROUGH COLLEGE.

Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE MISSION OF THE FOOD PANTRY IS TO HELP ANY RESIDENT WHO NEEDS FOOD ASSISTANCE AND TO DO SO WITHOUT JUDGEMENT FAITH DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE BY AGE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS BELIEF OR GENDER.
